Happy Brightwaters’ Election Day!

The first village election took place on Dec 30th, 1916, where T.B Ackerson became the first President of the Incorporated Village of Brightwaters.

The original title given to the head of the Brightwaters Village government used to be “President.” In 1927, the title changed from “President” to “Mayor,” which we continue to use today.
